It works! And it works well! I live in an apartment and have a bit of reservation about drilling holes for screws, especially since my kitchen walls are few, and what is available is lined with fake green something or another. But I know the landlord would not appreciate my drilling holes through it, as I'm sure he broke his four-year-old's piggy bank to buy the stuff to drag here and paste to the walls. They really should require a license for do-it-yourselfers…Anyway.So, instead, I was struck with the scathingly brilliant idea of just sticking the whole contraption to the side of my refrigerator and be done with it. Of course, my original intention was to use command strips, but since the magnet was so strong, I needn't waste them. The magnet both supports not only itself, but the knives as well! And so far, nary a problem has turned up and me so very happy now!Now, for the first time in my life, my knives are easily accessible, won't get banged up, or become nicked by wayward spoons and jealous butter knives (you know how they can be). These babies will not be forced to share the same drawer with all the other riffraff! There are only four tiny drawers meant to hold this old hobbit's kitchenwares and let me tell you, some pretty nasty fights break out when room becomes scarce—I never did find that petite waiflike jam spatula again, poor little thing. Most importantly than all that, these babies are now easily reachable at hand when that nasty old troll renting the upstairs apartment comes banging on my door again at 1:00 AM, as he is wont to do on one of his all-nighters.
