Review on Olympus Stylus Digital Camera Blue by David Herman

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Acceptable images for environments where you wouldn't shoot regular cameras

Although this camera is larger than a point and shoot camera, its robust features allow you to capture images you wouldn't otherwise take if you Your normal camera would leave home camera. The price seems to be driven by the high specifications compared to the quality of the photos and videos. I bought this camera for a trip to the Caribbean. He took acceptable photos in the pool and on a few snorkeling trips. I've since used it on hikes when rain is expected and I'm approaching waterfalls. On the other hand, the video is pretty terrible compared to my other spot shooting Cannon SD780 IS. The video might be acceptable for YouTube, but certainly not for the big screen. Video is sharp and blurry, even in good daylight, and maintains a consistent distance from the subjects being captured. As for the user interface, it leaves a lot to be desired. What can I say, a point and shoot camera with a dedicated "help" button [?] says a lot. Of course, there are many options and modes to choose from. Auto mode has never done much work and setting options, but manual adjustments improve the result. Pros: Waterproof enough for snorkeling and pool activities. other point and shoot video quality is poor compared to regular point and shoot. The camera must be connected to a battery. clumsy user interface. At closed last year's prices, the selection is sufficient. For pointing and shooting under normal conditions, look elsewhere. - 3 STARS if you intend to use this in and around the water I bought the camera for - 2 STARS if you intend to use this pointing and photographing under normal conditions
