My 11 year old dog was in dire need of a good bed as he injured his leg a week ago. We received this bed today and she seems to love it. It's thick and the sherpa coating is very soft. I worry that she might tear it up with her abundance and nesting habits. We don't have to wash it yet. My only negative comment is the shipping itself. The box arrived bulged on the sides. The bed was packed so tight that I had to use scissors to open it and then accidentally cut the bed. In fact, there was no avoiding it to get the item out of the box for free. Perhaps shipping in a larger box would have prevented the item from being damaged. Very good bed and I'm considering ordering another one for the bedroom.
