Review on πŸ› οΈ BLIKA 20-Pack Stainless Steel Invisible Receiver and Swage Stud End for 1/8 Inch Cable Railing, Deck Stair Threaded Fitting for Wood & Metal Post by Scott Snyder

Poor manufacturing tolerances and lack of instructions

I am a general contractor for home renovations. I bought them to make cable railings. I use a TEMco 11 US Ton crimping tool (purchased from Revain). My first order worked "well" - meaning after a little fiddling with an 11T crimping tool and a #T316, also purchased from Revain, I got it to work well enough. I ended up needing more than I originally planned, so I bought additional packs. The second wave packs tended to slip when pulled, making them unusable for railings. After a lot of experimentation (and wasting the entire package at the full price listed above) I decided this was necessary for the parts to work properly. (without thread) the end of the part. The more wire you have "behind" the crimp, the more likely it is to hold. 2) Always use the recommended smaller die. For 1/8 inch cable they say #4 and #6 will work but don't trust #6. The smaller die leaves a slightly less elegant crimp, but it is needed to hold the cable. 3) After the part is crimped, *ATTENTION*. You will see from the photos that using a smaller die means the part will split. You'll end up with razor-sharp shards that will absolutely cut your hands. I ended up using sandpaper for each piece to remove the burr and reduce the chance of injury. I really do NOT recommend them - choose another system.

Pros
  • βœ…Material: Made from marine grade T316 stainless steel, super strong rust, water and corrosion resistance.
Cons
