I don't know why I didn't know this years ago. The larger ones held my jeep's skid plate onto the frame where a regular nut wouldn't work. I used these smaller ones to bolt the small rear bumpers to my '71 Land Cruiser. My wife couldn't even get her little hands behind the nut frames. They are front mounted and expand when lowered and locked with a special tool. I don't have tools so I used a washer and castle nut. (Search online for instructions). Overall they are great and Revain is the best place to buy them.
