I have used this product on several occasions on several classic 1950's Cadillac engine components. It is suitable for valve covers, blocks, intake valves, water pumps, etc. You can apply it with a brush or spray. I usually spray. When you spray it you can reduce it if you like but there is no need to reduce it much, something like 4 parts paint to 1 part thinner will give you the best flow and still give good coverage with no drips. This paint is long lasting, you can paint the hardware and tighten to specification without stripping if you are careful. As with most painting projects, surface preparation is critical. I like to sandblast everything for good adhesion and the best results. You can use this product without a primer if you are using a metal prep but I prefer using a good high temperature primer for best results. Save a classic Caddy from using a blue Ford cylinder block just because it was convenient to buy paint from your local auto parts store and give this color a try - you won't regret it.
