When they are new they stretch about the right amount, when they are older about two months they start to stretch a lot , so you need to take two or three stretches to make it work. Please please make something not quite elastic, it has a good gift of elasticity, but it will be firm for months and years. My last Costco belt lasted five years and I only put it on the shelf because I wanted something new. Pooh
