Review on 🌐 D-Link DIR-836L: High-Speed Dual-Band Gigabit Router (Discontinued Model) with Home Cloud App by Raj Mazzabufi

This router has excellent range but signal quality can be very spotty. Standing on the other side of the house (two walls between me and the router) I still read that I have an 80% signal quality, but overall browsing becomes unnecessarily slow and unnatural as text and images load lasts over a minute /videos are generally not loaded. Also, the Wi-Fi signal doesn't work / not at all / with lower generation iPhones (had to replace both 4 and 5). If you need to cover a large room with multiple walls, this would be the perfect router for it. With. However, if you're trying to provide WiFi to a large, multi-room home, it simply won't be able to keep up with demand - buy a more reliable (and unfortunately more expensive) model. UPDATE: Two months later, this router died completely. Uneven signal quality indicates a defective product. Considering this was the third time I've had a 'defective' D-Link product, I decided to get a refund and return the product rather than replace it. The return process was smooth and easy. However, due to a defective product, I am deducting one star from my rating. The two stars reflect the fast and efficient refund process, which is difficult for electronics and especially difficult when the electronics have been in business for almost 60 days. Quality customer service, but the product itself just doesn't live up to it.
