D-Link or really no link

Like my health insurance it's good as long as I don't use it, this router is pretty much the same. I have to restart this junk once a week because WIFI stopped working. As far as their assortment advertising is concerned, it is the same as with all other cheap goods. There's nothing special about that. If you want to buy this, keep your Maoney and buy another one. .

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Poor dialing

D-Link, more like D-Bunk.

Bought some time ago. It worked at first, but over time it just couldn't handle what I needed to do. This router couldn't handle the packet traffic from a particular game I was playing. Sometimes I would lose connection to the game server almost every 15 minutes. If I didn't lose contact then it was either my brother or my roommate. Also keep in mind that we're all connected to a router here and none of us played over Wi-Fi. I even updated the firmware but still couldn't turn it on. It even had

6 months good. but down the hill from there.

I have always used D-Link routers. My last router lasted 3 years before I decided to upgrade. I bought it because it had everything I was looking for. I've been using it for a little over a year, the problems have existed for about 6 months. Its wireless performance has dropped sharply. It's very slow. If multiple items are running at the same time, it hangs. I'm considering getting something new that isn't D-Link.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Updates available

Not bad! Network products

I'm not a tech guru! but I know when the electronics are doing what I need. This one does! An ideal dual-band network where all home divisions work seamlessly. Like other routers I know, this one has a slight signal problem when there are a lot of obstructions (closed windows/doors, concrete walls, microwave ovens, cordless phones, etc.). The ability to manage the router online from anywhere. Via the internet it is a pro, after 2 months of continuous use I have nothing to complain about.

Pros
  • Ideal for me
Cons
  • Seniors

Really fast. on Routers

this router is the best I've ever seen. very fast, stable and never overheats. I have a 15Mbps service and I am using a Smart TV connected through this modem. My TV gets 15 Mbit/s instead of the 4 Mbit/s that my previous router (from the ISP) got. If I connect my TV via the second band, it even reaches 17 Mbit / s. it is great. Download video without problems. :)

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • It's hard to remember, but it was

Good for concurrent VPN sessions, UI needs improvement

We've had this router for about a month now and are generally happy with it. We chose D-Link because it's one of the few wireless routers to explicitly state that it supports multiple simultaneous VPN client sessions. Our previous router (Netgear) allowed multiple VPN sessions, but crashed at least once a day when running multiple VPN sessions. One was fine. Two is a guaranteed crash. Too bad, because otherwise we liked Netgear. With this D-Link, we had 3 simultaneous VPN sessions throughout…

Pros
  • High support and durability ratings from testers
Cons
  • This makes me nervous

2 month update: Router broken, had to return

This router has excellent range but signal quality can be very spotty. Standing on the other side of the house (two walls between me and the router) I still read that I have an 80% signal quality, but overall browsing becomes unnecessarily slow and unnatural as text and images load lasts over a minute /videos are generally not loaded. Also, the Wi-Fi signal doesn't work / not at all / with lower generation iPhones (had to replace both 4 and 5). If you need to cover a large room with multiple…
