I received the remote control today and tried it out right away. All is well. First, it uses 2 AAA batteries while the original uses AA batteries. It feels just as durable as the original, definitely not cheap. I have a 2012 UN40ES6500 and all buttons worked; Source, Menu, Smart Button, even 3D. It even has a few buttons that weren't on the original remote that work. There is a "Search" button, but I'm not sure what it's looking for. 😉 The only thing it doesn't do is that it doesn't light up, but the original lights were useless anyway, so what's the difference. I would definitely buy it again.
