Review on Ultimate Shield: Skinz Road Bike Fork Mount Protector for Enhanced Safety by Lorenzo Wood

Better than the rest (edited)

Below is a review from a few years ago. The product worked great. Then they began to shorten, and two of them broke. I got one replaced for free. I decided I was going to use the velcro extension on the front and decided to buy another one. It was July 7th. The company appears to have resized to make it even smaller. It no longer fits my handlebars. I know my arms haven't gotten wider so the bra has gotten smaller. My bikes are 59.5 and 59. One is Pinarello FP-7 and the other is FP Quattro. I don't understand why they earn less. So far this product has worked great. I was reading a review of the Nashbar cover and someone mentioned something about Skinz. I've experienced so many Nashbar and Xport covers. They didn't last that long and then the quality went down and they started falling apart after a use or two. This is my fourth time using Skinz and I am impressed. I was impressed when I first put it on the bike. I no longer need a bungee cord to keep my seat cover secure; Skinz has a strap that attaches with Velcro. Skinz appears to be a solution to all of Nashbar and Xport's shortcomings.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
