Thankfully this was the issue on my Kenmore model ED5GVEXVD01.Symptoms: freezer wasn’t keeping things frozen, wasted quite a bit of food. Fridge side would get warmish as well. If I rotated the temp control for the fridge higher to kick in the compressor it’d work for a while but always would stop if I didn’t do that.Used this part to replace original and all is well. This part saved an initial $65 from the OEM and possible a replacement fridge. Very glad I attempted this easy repair.There were some installation issues: the screws that hold this in place had to be put in backwards because the holes are too big to install it like the OEM part. Not a big deal and it works just fine. The other is that the actual line/temp probe part is smaller than the OEM. Not an issue as it is a bendable wire that stays put when you bend it.Overall a great purchase and I would buy it again, so far.
