Review on πŸ—„οΈ Organize with Style: Oak & Black Slim Multimedia Storage Tower by Antoine Scisson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's okay, but the montage can disappoint many!

This is not light natural wood and black as pictured, this is medium oak and black, some white holes and quite a bit of raw MDF. The tower consists of two vertical side walls made of cheap chipboard (poor engineered wood), laminated on the outside and painted black on the inside. The MDF top, bottom, shelves and back are also laminated or painted black, but only on the surfaces viewed from the standing front (top). That means the undersides of the shelves and countertops are bare so you can see them along with whitish unused holes when seated. The assembly instructions were clogged and even torn in several places due to the foam gun used. for tight sealing of packaging parts. It's not the seller's fault, it's the manufacturer's fault. You need to secure the folded instructions in some kind of envelope. At least I have all the details safe and sound. The instructions are either short or vague, so if you're not that handy, read on. Pay close attention to the details in the drawings, particularly which screw/bolt/dowel goes where and what to connect it to - not much can be found in the text and the components in the drawings are not labeled properly. Screws attach the base to the chassis from below, wooden dowels and "blue snap bars and cams" connect the top to the chassis. The fact that the base is wider than the top is not reflected in the instruction drawings and further confuses the instructions. In addition to screwdrivers and a hammer, you will need a drill with a very thin tip (1/16 inch). ) Pre-drill holes in the bottom for tack strips - MDF is very hard. There is no mark on the board where to put the strips, you need to measure and mark it yourself. Be sure to wrap the drill with tape so it doesn't go in too deep and penetrate the other side of the board. You may also need something thicker than 1/4" to make the existing wood dowel holes a bit wider to allow the dowels and screws to go in without brute force and potential damage. Well either the little metal studs or the holes are pretty uneven and the insertion (and removing) some of them is tricky - you might be better off checking them beforehand, i.e. as a first step in assembly Place the CDs and DVDs at will on the black side between the holes and check the corresponding holes and pins Here you need a different size drill bit if necessary (3/16"). The actual maximum number of CDs in standard single cases that will fit here is 176, not 160, as you can still place two CDs horizontally across each row. .If you have a DVD or Blue Rays shelf, you can't fit all seven shelves. I don't like the spacing of the shelf holes, it's very inefficient. You need to vi he skip holes to fit a CD, but you still have 1 inch of clearance between the top of the CDs and the shelf above. If you want to store DVDs on the shelves, you will face the same problem.

Pros
  • Adjustable shelves
Cons
  • Some bugs
