Having made the mistake of collecting vintage music from my teenage years again (now that I can afford it), I recently bought a freshly restored Pioneer CT-F900 vintage deck . and thus the "trial shot" made by the technician during the modification of the machine prior to shipment. Wow! I understand this is a "regular" offset tape compared to the more expensive, high offset offerings, but I'm seriously impressed that I've also recorded from Apple Radio and from my iTunes, I can say it's with the right equipment is possible to be rightly good and able to handle everything from classic rock to classic. I recommend toning down the high frequencies with an EQ to reduce the background noise that can be seen on some recordings. Now to save up some vinyl and start having fun building my library again. Between TDK and Maxell UR 90 this should suit my needs on my budget, it's a lot of fun and a great product.
