It really strains all the little details. I use bacon "butter" as my dad used to call it all the time, hash browns, deep fried okra, and even half and half for pie crust, making it a very hearty crust for pie, pumpkin, and especially ground beef pie. Great container with very good grip, no more slippery container. I only have 1 small problem, the cover doesn't snap on the back, I don't know if the filter part has to be removed for storage or not. Added note, I pressed the pulled handle down and the lid is now tight. . I am very happy now.
