very noticeable sound

First, it's K&N. So for me the quality is there because I'm a K&N fan. I have used them in the past and love their products. If you've ever installed a cold air kit, installing it is no more difficult than any other. Has a clean installed look. So it's a good thing that it lets through more than a standard airbox. Pretty much the same, just in design. It also has a very noticeable sound when you press the gas pedal. Sounds good at full throttle. If you like that sound. The bad news is that it has a very noticeable sound. If you're towing or in a hilly, mountainous area where you hit the gas more often, you'll hear it moan... much! It's just me, but it drove me crazy trawling from Virginia's tide waters to the western part of the state. Every long review was just annoying. I had one in another truck but I don't remember it being that loud in the car. So it's cool to hear full throttle, but a long, endless moan on a long drive that's surprisingly loud in a cab just isn't for me.
