Review on πŸ”§ Felo Wood Handle Screwdriver Set - Slotted and Phillips, 5 Pieces, Chrome Finish Blade with Beechwood Grip, Model 33595198 07157 22155 by Tray Smith

Just as pretty as Vera!

These screwdrivers look great for the money ($4 each when I bought them). The largest flathead screwdriver seems fantastic, the ergonomics and weight are perfect for my medium sized hand (I think big hands would appreciate it too). Phillips #2 is second in feeling. The smallest flathead is significantly lighter than the others; I think the wood for the handle is a lot less dense but that doesn't bother me too much and it's still a pleasure to use. The ergonomics are almost perfect for a manual screwdriver. Compared to my Wera Kraftform Kompakt 27 RA (highly recommended ratchet screwdriver), the feel is of course a bit different, but I think the respective handle shapes match the way both are used. I find both comfortable to use, but the biggest flathead in this Felo set takes the cake for best feel. I was hoping to get a polished chrome version of this set, but I read in an answer to a question here on Revain that bright chrome phased out the use of satin chrome. I wish shiny chrome was back! If you don't plan on sanding the finish all the way down on the grips, I highly recommend taking 5-10 minutes and going through them with a piece of 000 steel grip wool, smoothing out just the slightest roughness in the finish. In my opinion, using 000 or 0000 steel wool on satin chrome also improved the feel and aesthetics. For me it took the tool from 4.5/5 to 5/5. I, like many others, first heard about it on AvE's YouTube channel and quickly added it to my wish list, anticipating the day at which they drop in price by a few dollars. . All in all, I am very happy that I bought them. Maybe someday I'll have to take Phillips #3 too!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
