I have a custom bike. The throttle cable was longer than I could ever convince you with a simple story. It needs to be fixed after some time. Pull on a cord you can't replace along the way. super bad idea. None of the HD cables were quite right. Too short. So I got them, cut the cable housing as well as the cable itself to length and installed one of these (medium size). I've made a few changes like drilling one side of the inlet as a guide funnel as I'll be using it next at 10pm outside of Green River, Utah or something like that. This works for me. I have a spare cable that's the right length and I soldered the end to hold the strands and make it easier to change on the go, plus I think it holds up better. It was pretty hard to get it to stick until I used an acid paste. You only need a visible amount of solder if so and solder before cutting. But you knew It works well for me and I like the quality. I also wear one for my riding partners. Beats planing and electrical tape (I'm a longtime driver).
