Review on πŸ’‘ SmartThings Compatible Philips Dimmable LED Equivalent by Michael Reynolds

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great alternative to Hue bulbs at a cheaper price.

I've been using Hue for a few years, mostly with their white bulbs, but I have 4 Gen 2 RGB bulbs. First of all I can say that the Innr lamps have a much improved color rendering. compared to second generation Hue bulbs. If you just want very accurate colors this is a great buy. The only color that shows some accuracy issues is purple, but that's not enough to warrant a complaint. The 800 lumen bulbs are also an improvement over Hue's second-gen 600 lumen bulbs. The reason I'm giving this review 4 stars instead of 5 is because of a couple of issues that hopefully can be fixed with firmware updates. I use Lutron Aurora light switches, and when pressed, one bulb turns on a little quicker than the other (I have a two-bulb lamp, it's easy to see). I'm assuming the lights are being told to turn on in a specific order over the ZigBee network, but it really doesn't matter. The second reason I would deduct a star is that it uses LEDs compared to Hue bulbs, which are much more subtle in color adjustment. For example, if I have red lightbulbs installed but want to change them to around 6500K, I can see the red LEDs go out and others turn on, making for a slightly shaky experience when adjusting colors. This doesn't happen when set up via the Hue app, but it does when set up via SmartThings, but not at all with Hue bulbs. Connecting was very easy, I manually added the serial number to the search to make sure it found the right one. lamps and it worked great. Much easier to connect to the bridge than other non-Hue bulbs like Cree. Overall if you need colored bulbs for your Hue system but want to save $15 per bulb and don't care about a slightly different experience compared to Hue colors. Lightbulbs, buy these. i enjoy them

Pros
  • SHAPE LIGHT LIGHT: Use your smartphone to turn the light on and off, dim or brighten and choose a colour. Or choose the perfect preset, set up the automation and let the Innr app do the rest. * Do not use the wall dimmer to dim our smart light bulbs.
