I've always had problems with pain and numbness in my hands when mountain biking. I've tried different gloves and they didn't seem to make much of a difference, in fact I know I'm riding with very thin gloves. I installed them right before my trip to Moab. They greatly increased the comfort for my hands, I only experienced a slight numbness during one ride. I'm not sure if I adjusted them correctly, I'm still working on them, but they've already made a big impact. In addition, they did not interfere with driving technical things. They don't bother you when you hold onto the steering wheel.
