This is the second Otterbox Defender case I own and the first for this phone (Samsung Note 20 Ultra). This series of IMO cases suffers from two fatal flaws. 1) The texture of the rubber wears out quickly even after 8-12 months of light use, causing the phone to slip amazingly in your hand. 2) Rubber stretches and stretches, which is made worse by poor design. charging covers. The charging cover isn't a hinge, it's a rubber connector that literally stretches the case when you open it. If you charge the phone for an hour or so every day, it adds up. Fast. Well, that's what the body does right: everything else. I've dropped my previous phone (s9+) and current phone (note 20 ultra as mentioned) hundreds of times. I mean literally hundreds of times. I'm a big nerd with my phones. I dropped them on the sidewalk, wood, concrete, dirt, grass, whatever. Never had a scratch from a fall. These covers excel in their protection. That's why I'm giving 3* for durability, a rating that's torn in every direction due to the exceptional protection offered to the phone and the terrible durability of the case. If Otterbox can somehow fix these issues (and I believe they can), it would be unprecedented in the market. Until then, it offers premium protection with fleeting durability.
