Review on πŸ“± Universal Windshield Car Mount Holder – Getron One Click Release Dashboard Cell Phone Cradle for iPhone Xs MAX XR X 8 SE Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus S8 Note 9 and Most Smartphones – Black by Ricky Snyder

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I'm glad I chose this one. UPDATE - 9 months later it keeps falling off the windshield.

So far this mount has been great. My phone has never fallen out and the mount has never fallen off my windshield. When I first got it I think I've worn it 3 or 4 times to find the perfect spot for it and it still feels secure. I think the sticky gel helps with that. If you bought them from Revain, you probably already know that you shouldn't put gel mounts on your dash (I personally wouldn't risk even a non-gel pad). I really like the rubbery ribs that make contact with the side of the phone, they seem to last longer than my old foam side mount and you can hold your phone really firmly between them. The trigger mechanism works great too. I would recommend turning the part holding the phone upside down (it rotates) compared to what you see in the pictures and plugging in a small platform to free up as much windshield space as possible allow. So instead of the top 2/3 of your phone sticking out and blocking your view, mount it over the screen lock button and the rest of your phone hangs under the dash instead of in front of the windshield (you might not want to do this if you use the small platform do not reveal). This worked best for me. The platform was one of the reasons I bought this mount, but since you can squeeze the phone so much I felt it really wasn't necessary. TO UPDATE. Worked less than a year. I won't be stuck to my windshield anymore. Even if it worked great before.

Pros
  • POLYANGLE VIEW. The adjustable swivel ball head offers full 360-degree rotation for the perfect viewing angle, including vertical and horizontal viewing angles.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
