Review on Monoprice 100521 6 Feet IMG I MDIN8M by Eric Cooper

I wanted my ImageWriter II to work on a modern computer because tapes are so cheap. I've tried many cables and to no avail, but I managed to get it working with this cable, a db25-db9 cable, and a db9-rs232-usb cable running Linux. It automatically installs the driver from the Linux printer database, but I've had better luck with the C-Itoh printer driver. Be careful with the db9 to mini din connection you buy as the signals from the cable need to go both ways along the cable. I ran into an issue where the computer was communicating with the printer but was outputting random text.
