I decided to buy a pair of these to try them out first with the connector I also found on this site. I'm buying an old house that doesn't have Cat-5 so I have to leave it running and hide it behind baseboards on the walls and then up the walls to the old phone jacks that are in every room. so that each room is hardwired to the router. This product is really flat, I tested it by plugging it into the router and the computer that was farthest from the router. (I have trust issues when it comes to electronics and cables). Then I unplugged the computer and plugged my house into it. To be honest I didn't have to remove the boards because of the gap in some places, I could just tuck that in. I'm definitely buying more and mixing and matching them around the house as needed. I will not be walking under the house or outside with this cord, I don't think it will withstand the elements.
