I used this to convert old family VHS tapes to digital files. Every 10 minutes of tape is about 1GB of digital video. I only gave it four stars instead of five because the default audio setting is your computer's internal microphone and NOT the composite audio from the recording. I set the audio setting to composite audio on my first video. Then I had to close and reopen the program which resets the audio recording settings and I had to redo ALL my videos because it was recording video but with an audio track of what was happening in the house! By default, the audio should be recorded from VHS, not the computer's internal microphone!
