I'm not usually a reviewer but I've noticed people get angry that the paint has chipped after a few weeks. yes it does, and that's to be expected with the heat of a diesel exhaust. BUT. This tip costs $40, ships to your door, and is actually stainless steel, albeit low quality, with a black finish (I've tested it with Rockwell hardening files as much as I can, and its hardness ranges from 410 to 416SS). The next cheapest in this size and configuration is around $75, with the more expensive ones over $100. A can of black high temperature engine paint - what is that? The answer is $5. My tip started peeling off the paint within 1 week so I unscrewed ONE screw, removed the tip and repainted it and it looks great and won't chip for a long time. oooh Save $40-$50 buy this and a can of engine paint. Then wipe and paint over the original paint before installing and it works great. By the way, it fits perfectly under the 2018 Ram 2500 with a 7/8 inch gap between the top of the top and the bedside table. Looks awesome nice and neat if you cut about 10 inches off the stock exhaust pipe just don't cut the last bend.
