This sliding T-Bevel took almost an hour to convert into a useful tool that I'm confident in the accuracy of. I will use it to mark dovetail joints. Because of the plastic wrap, all four brass ends were better than 1/16 inch above the hardwood registration fences, and the hardwood registration fences were not in the same plane on both sides. A brass-tipped file, a piece of sandpaper attached to a glass plate, and more elbow grease than I expected (a little expected at this price point), the result is a reliable and accurate tool for my intended use.
