Quality is top notch, happy with everything.

I needed a universal fixed lens for the Sony NEX-6. Since on a 1.5 crop, 35 mm are roughly equivalent to 50 mm (52.5 to be exact), and 50 is universal, the choice fell on the Sony SEL35F18. It has a good aperture ratio, compact dimensions even with a hood (although the camera still moved from a pocket to a backpack). Of course, other manufacturers, such as Sigma, have similar models with even greater aperture, but they are noticeably larger and they do not have a stabilizer. The image quality is quite good, the sharpness is enough.

Pros

Large aperture, compact size and light weight, image stabilizer, good image quality, good build quality.

Cons

Quite a high price, noticeable chromatic aberration in the backlight.

Pros below: small size high aperture optical stabilizer high quality picture fast focus shoots macro well (short focusing distance) Has some cons hard to find a new one often under the guise of a new sell used in good condition

I bought it for 6400, everything suits me. Small, light, fast focusing, sharpness at more hidden aperture values is amazing. On open, excellent bokeh. I bought it because I wanted something universal for landscapes, waist-length and full-length portraits, and for video.

Some pros: Light. Normal picture for crop. It makes no sense to buy on a full frame, as the picture sharply loses quality. Noises are coming. And so a worthy copy for your money. With its cons. Not suitable for full frame.
