Review on ๐Ÿ“ˆ Bira Craft Platform: Perfectly Precise Stamping Solution by Heather Shaw

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I love this tool!

I'm new to stamping and wanted to try an inexpensive die locator to see if I enjoyed stamping enough to buy an expensive one. I'm so glad I tried this! I recently bought the Original Misti and I have to say that after a couple of times I'm back with my Bira! Stamping with Bira is so easy! I like the spring mechanism because I don't have to change pads or anything depending on which die I'm using. The left side comes off completely when you open the device, which can take a while, but it's no big deal. I found that one of my black inks had smeared both sides of the device (as shown in the picture) but I don't think it's that big of a deal. There's no barrier on three sides so you can't pin the paper in the corner like you can on other platforms, but I don't think that's a problem. The advantage is that you can put a very large paper there. On a small misti I ran into an issue where I was trying to stamp a space larger than the platform. Since this device has edges that can touch the paper, I was unable to print on the paper. There were no problems with the Bira stamp platform! I simply pressed the paper against the left side of the machine and let the excess paper hang to the side (see the picture for what I mean). There is a ruler built into the platform, but it's white on white so it's a little hard to see. I'm sure I can rub it with a marker or something to darken the numbers, but I rarely use it anyway. The concerns raised were why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 but honestly neither of these things are a deal breaker and I'm so glad I bought this!
