Prevents batteries and remote control shells from flying out when dropped
The Samsung remote that came with my TV is actually very good as it gives you almost complete control of not only the TV but peripherals as well. HOWEVER, this remote's weight is uneven and its shape just barely allows it to fall to the floor. We have wooden floors and if the remote control falls, the back cover comes off and the batteries fly under the sofa or TV stand. This happens several times a day. It drove me crazy After two years I finally found out that there is probably a third party remote for it. This fits perfectly and offers a good grip.
