Really good technology for the modern media junkie!

This is a very handy little TV box that allows you to play your downloaded multimedia content from your phone, tablet or PC. It plays MP3 music, it plays MP4 and MKV movie or video files. (And other formats like 3gp etc.) It also displays your JPEG photos that you take with your phone or even a premium digital camera. It will do everything on your TV and home theater receiver. (If you want great sound quality with your videos and music.) The only thing you need to know is what this thing will and won't do. First I will mention my complaint. This product is intended for use in the United Kingdom or any country that uses the HDMI 50Hz standard. But America uses an HDMI frequency of 60Hz, so for the UK the device is set to 50Hz by default. So if you connect your American TV to it. It is automatically recognized and works perfectly. But later if you change the video output either in the settings or on the remote by accidentally pressing one of those video output buttons, a black screen remains and you can't go back even if you press the HDMI button. Because then the specification is only 50Hz output frequency, not 60Hz. Now if you have connected this device with red/white and yellow RCA cables, this problem does not occur. But the video quality will only be good, like a high-end VCR. But it will still look great. People who want the highest resolution images will need an HDMI connection. I'm not that picky myself. But anyway, to fix the black screen issue after switching video input (HDMI), you need to disconnect and reconnect the power to reset it, and then the TV will be recognized again. There is a switch in the settings to turn on or off HDMI auto detection, but it doesn't work! So suck. You have to fix it. Another problem that people face is that the device won't play video. There is a strange thing about this device where it only plays videos stored in FAT32 format on your SD card slot. It will NOT play videos saved in exfat format (SD card slot). No matter what card you use, except SDHC cards. This is a complex matter and not for the layman. But I have an answer. Only use SD cards with a capacity of 32 GB or less. They are sdhc standard and stored in FAT32 only. Therefore, videos stored on a card of this size will play normally. If you are using a 64GB or larger SD card, you can use it. But you must do the following. Buy a card reader. (It's a small flash drive-like device with an SD card slot on the side.) Insert your SDXC card, and then insert the reader into your media player's USB port. Works perfectly! I used 256GB micro SD cards (in SD card adapter) and it plays my exfat storage fine but only through USB port (for flash drive). I don't know why it accepts exfat storage via the USB port but not the SD card slot. I learned that through lots of trial and error. So I'll give sound advice on that, I promise. But if you want to burn some movies on that micro DVR haha and have all your copied and fake movies on hand and throw away the DVD player, this is what you need and I love it. Therefore, despite the shortcomings, I give this device 5 stars. All you have to do to watch tons of movies without worries is buy a nice big SanDisk Cruiser Glide flash drive (128 or 256 gigabytes) and drive it either through a PC or with an OTG connected to your phone or tablet - Fill cable with media files. . (The OTG cable is a short micro USB connector on one end and a large standard USB connector on the other end), effectively converting your phone's charging port into a real USB port. (The phone needs to be able to push media through the charging port, and some low-end phones can't.) You can then push the downloaded content to a flash drive. Hope this information helps. I just wanted to help the layman who doesn't know much about this alternative way of enjoying TV and music. 😎
