These wheels offer excellent value for money. I updated the Schwinn Al Comp due to the lack of bike selection during VID. Also keep in mind that my upgrades are originally for the $240 bike. I'm not sure I would think the same way on a multi-thousand bike. My wheel issues are minor and far outweigh the benefits: Pros: - Lots of contact points (lots of clicks) - Multiple sealed bearing design rolls incredibly well - Much lighter than my stock rims - Feels stiffer than stock rims - Properly bolted box - Solid tubular axle , which ends up wearing QR caps; looks very solid - sleeve easy to remove, just remove cartridge and pull (as intended) Cons: - a bit noisy for my taste, hope they calm down a bit - adhesive residue from removing labels, pain when removing - red anodizing to match color not together. The hubs are quite red while the skewers are more pink. The stem hole is drilled for the Schrader valve. Why? - One of the o-rings on the rear hub broke, had to look for a replacement TL;DR It was totally worth it. Just worry about minor imperfections. One star deducted for inconvenience. Edit Additions: Things to make it roll even better: - Slightly removed the original hub grease as it's quite thick for this application; To do this, the pawls, springs and hub housing had to be removed and degreased. NOTE: DO NOT spray degreaser on bushings or bearings, apply to a towel and gently wipe away old grease. Dumonde Freehub Grease - Remove end caps and apply Park Tool PPL-1 to shafts, inside of caps and outer race of bearings before reassembling (front and rear); Only one LIGHT coat is required for shafts and covers, thicker for racing exteriors. This will make the wheels spin MUCH more freely and the hub will run a little quieter. If I had only used lube it should have been even quieter at the expense of rolling resistance. My buddy immediately said something about lower noise levels. I would like to point out that even some premium brands seem to need adjustments right from the start and I am picky when it comes to how my bike performs. TL; DRD has relubricated for a smoother, quieter ride.
