Review on MakerHawk USB Load Tester - Intelligent Discharge Resistor Module for Battery Capacity Testing, Adjustable Constant Current, 150W 200V 20A by Mike Marks

So far so good - time will tell.

Like many of you, I received this product from Will Prowse, YouTube's solar and battery guru. Anyway, the thing works very well. I immediately tested all four LIFEPO4 batteries and am happy to report that all four have been tested beyond the stated/advertised levels! This also took some time - one night for each battery (100 Ah each). I will say that at 185 watts the device gets too hot! At 185 watts the temperature was 68 degrees Celsius, when I lowered it to 160 watts the temperature dropped to 55 degrees - quite a noticeable drop in temperature. It extended my battery drain time, but I wasn't worried about leaving that run overnight. There's a lot more menus available - if you unplug the device, press the button (the only one) and keep your finger on it when you reconnect, you'll get a menu for changing a lot of settings - so it's worth checking out. So far it works well and is very accurate (compared to my Fluke gauge and other smaller and inexpensive gauges). I don't know what it will be like in the long run, but so far so good. As long as it dies within a reasonable amount of time I'm pretty sure I'll buy another one.
