Description of MakerHawk USB Load Tester - Intelligent Discharge Resistor Module for Battery Capacity Testing, Adjustable Constant Current, 150W 200V 20A

Prevent burning warning: when the input voltage battery and large power test, access must be beforeusing two current adjustment knob counterclockwise to the minimum to zero, then the access, accordingto the priority according to current power to slowly adjust current knob, must not instantly transferred infull, so there are excessive instantaneous power load discharge tube burnt huge risk! Please use thespecial attention to this point, thank you!. Two power supply methods: 1. DC6-12V DC5.0 power supply; 2. DC6-12V Micro USB power supply. Voltage measurement range: 0.00V ~ 200V, Current measurement range: 0.00A ~ 20A. How to operate: Set the capacity, power, time using the Keystrokes method Reset:1. Reset button Long all data (mAh, Klitschko, 00: 00: 00); 2. Fast button twice capacity reset (mAh); 3. Fast button three power reset (ᄆ);4. Fast button Four time reset (00:00:00); 5. Fast button five settings auto standby, Discharge count down regularly; 6. No load output No load, fast seven key, And current zero zero current, Environmental temperature Accurate calibration. 150W power refers to: In accordance with the power calculation formula P = UI (power = voltage x current); 10V input Approximately 18A discharge current 20V input Approximately 9A discharge current 30V input Approximately 6A discharge current.

Works until it works.

No As a capacity test, this is actually pretty accurate. I'm on my 3rd right now as they seem to keep dying. I don't change the max power setting of 185 and stay below 160 but they still die. This will be the 3rd and last. I'm going the other way. It's easy to use, convenient and, as we said, pretty accurate.

while it works fine. for multitester

I believe the minimum load is around 50W, and most people will be using a much higher load most of the time, so it's not that big of a deal. Test them out as a package. Remember that your load and time will be approximately 50% of the results with 2 cells, 25% with 4 cells, and so on.

Pros
  • weight
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

This item seemed PERFECT for testing my battery packs and LifePo4 cells other than me and I could do not cause the device to discharge the elements. The unit appears to be defective and after months of delays in responding to my queries and 4 separate attempts the seller has done nothing leaving me no choice but to warn others!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Very expensive

Adjustment knobs do not work

I bought this and was unable to use it immediately due to BMS delivery. After setting everything up with the BMS I tried to check the capacity of my 24V 120Ah Lifepo4 battery. The display shows the current voltage but when I try to start the test I cannot increase the draw. Everything stays at 0. Since the return time has expired I'm stuck trying to figure out what's wrong. I would recommend gathering everything before purchasing this product if it doesn't work like mine.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Zero

Good for testing PSUs and desktop accessories, case required

Features multiple connectors for testing various standard PSUs as well as screw terminals. Reading was clear except some things were written in Chinese. The load adjustment knob to set the current was a little touchy and difficult to set to a specific current. The fan only worked when the tested voltage was loaded. The cooling fins were easily bent and the fan blades were exposed, so care must be taken to protect these parts. Every chance helps. Universal burden.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other lock picks

Excellent current tester

Ideal for checking chargers or cable quality. I combine this with a voltmeter/ammeter tester to see how much more power my battery pack can handle and how good the charge quality is when shopping for new cables, batteries and wall chargers. I bumped this thing up to 5.0 volts at 4 amps and it got a little warm. The fan came on and I could tell it dragged the system a bit, but once it settled down it just dissipated the heat faster. Definitely worth the money if you are looking for a good USB…

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Nothing

Easy to use, some nice features - Voltage resolution is really bad

I think it's a good load tester and it's really handy, basically it's a big adjustable resistor with a screen. The big problem I have with this is a misperception of the accuracy of the voltage readings. It doesn't have an accuracy of 0.01V, it's more of a resolution of 0.08-0.15V. The picture shows that the multimeter readings are (correctly) off by 0.1V. It's one thing when the product was specified to be 0.1V accurate, but it's listed as 0.01V and that's not true. Another thing: Based on…

So far so good - time will tell.

Like many of you, I received this product from Will Prowse, YouTube's solar and battery guru. Anyway, the thing works very well. I immediately tested all four LIFEPO4 batteries and am happy to report that all four have been tested beyond the stated/advertised levels! This also took some time - one night for each battery (100 Ah each). I will say that at 185 watts the device gets too hot! At 185 watts the temperature was 68 degrees Celsius, when I lowered it to 160 watts the temperature dropped…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some cons
