Review on 🍽 Ozeri ZK19 Touch III 10 kg Digital Kitchen Scale with Calorie Counter, 22 lb, Black: Accurate and Efficient Food Measurement Companion by Julia Cano

Inconsistent - does not yield reproducible weights.

I was looking for a kitchen scale that weighs in small increments, has a large weight capacity, and can weigh between recipe ingredients. This ozeri seemed to do all of those things, plus a few features I never learned to use because it doesn't seem to weigh all the time. Since I usually only cook for two people, I often have to adapt recipes. When I weigh the amount specified in a recipe and then try to halve it, I often don't get the same weight for both portions. If I open a pre-packaged formula and weigh the total and then try to remove half of the mixture, I can never get two 'halves' of the same weight. As the two portions approach each other in size, I slowly remove the material. and remove material. and the weight doesn't change - then bam, the weight jumps up telling me I've removed too much. So I start adding again. No change, no change, then the weight jumps and I gain too much. In the 2-3 years that I have had this scale I have used it very rarely. I have a $10 cheap that I use instead; at least it doesn't pretend to be heavy in small portions. There must be better alternatives.
