These chains, like most chains, were a bit tricky to install but they fit great and make all the difference in traction on snow and ice. Not sure if I need chain tensioners but I don't trust rubber bands with plastic hooks, I got some springs from my local Ace Hardware to prevent possible tire slippage. The chains fit well enough that it may not be necessary, but I'd rather have them and not need them than need them and not have them. Incidentally, one of my concerns when buying chains was the minimum clearance between the inside edge of the tires and the body of the snow thrower. The links of these chains are small enough that there is no play problem, but still large enough to provide enough traction. Do I need to add that the price of these villains is reasonable?
