We wash it in the gentle cycle, warm or cool water, then dry on the "low” setting. Once you put it back in place and smooth it out (which only takes a minute, tops), it’s as good as new! Also, we have two rambunctious cats with claws who run over it when they’re playing "chase” and who hang out on it while spying or eavesdropping on us, yet there are no pulls because of the sturdy, tight weave/material/finish), and it doesn’t attract pet hair! We didn’t need a rug pad since it’s "anchored” by the front door threshold, but if you’ll be using it inside where that’s not the case, it will slide, so you’ll need a rug pad. True white (not off-white as some others are) and true black (not charcoal). Highly recommend!
