Review on ๐ŸŽ’ Enhance Your Mobility with the Source Tactical Advance Mobility Hydration Pack by Jesus Gallagher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Love it! I just wish it had extra pockets for storage.

This is an excellent hydration system! There is a great video on YouTube by Source (the provider) demonstrating all the features. I'll try to summarize the characteristics and my observations: Bubble/Tubes - Doesn't give the water a plastic or chemical taste! - Soft, glass-like lining in bladder to minimize bacterial growth and preserve lining. easy to clean. My observation is that the camera feels *slightly* stiffer than most of the competition. Features a patented top slide over the chamber that allows for easy cleaning/access to the interior of the chamber. Haven't had to clean anything yet, but this makes it easy to open the air after draining/purging. - Uses an excellent clamp system to easily attach/detach the hose to and from the bladder. Drinking spouts (and supports different types of compatible spouts). I upgraded the nozzle to a Helix QMT valve system. Other reviewers have commented that this is a smart move - it's a nice upgrade from the standard included in this system, in my opinion. - Very durable. of the second cylinder, there is no need to purchase the entire system. The hose is thick/durable. Insulation is fine (water heats up if left in the hose) - volume 3 liters. The extra water really helps - I easily drink 2+ liters in a day but rarely use the entire 3rd pack. I can't think of anything other than a razor sharp knife or a bullet that could cut or pierce it. EXCELLENT insulation quality. After several hours under the hot Utah desert sun, the water inside was still cool! - The backpack is very securely attached to the cylinder with a cap. This makes filling/draining water very easy without opening the packaging and/or removing the chamber. The straps are comfortable but don't offer enough padding. In practice, I think this is sufficient - I've taken it to the canyons of southern Utah and Mount Winta and never felt uncomfortable doing it. The chest strap holds the shoulder straps in place and relieves chest pressure. - Velcro strap secures snorkel over shoulder - snorkel was always easily accessible - Straps tuck away easily so you can put this system in your backpack - It's MOLLE compatible so you can tuck the straps and clip them to the back of yours backpacks. MOLLE backpack. A fairly common configuration in the military. I know there's more to the system than I'm listing - watch the video again. In general, I like this system. My only gripe is that there aren't any additional pockets for storage - it's not designed like many camel packs which are more like hybrid backpack/hydration systems. This is a humidification only system. Otherwise I can't remember a single complaint. If you're looking for a great, durable and well-insulated hydration system, you can't go wrong with this system. Both the bubble and the packaging are superb and the modularity of the system is fantastic.

Pros
  • Can be worn as a backpack, slipped into backpacks or attached directly to MOLLE on vests or backpacks
