Review on TERA PUMP Electric Fish Tank Water Pump: Submersible Pump with Hose & Filter Suction Tube by Dana Cardenas

This water pump is amazing. It works exactly as described. The package includes a water pump, power adapter, drain hose, metal spout and clamps. hose length 3 m, metal spout attached to the hose; to steer the water more easily. Be careful with the metal grommet, the ends may be cut off if you press directly on the hole when inserting into the hose. I learned it the hard way. The ends could be more rounded. I'm not deducting a star for that, but consider it. This shouldn't be a problem once it's attached to the hose. The power cord that connects the pump to the power supply is very long, which is great. Previously I used a conventional hand held siphon with a pipe and bulb to remove and replace water in my 20 gallon tank. The manual method would take at least 15-20 minutes. This water pump did the job in less than 10 minutes. Draining took less than 5 minutes, refueling around the same time. I've read reviews and instructions that said the siphon might not stop until the pump is out of the water. This is important because if you are not careful you can overfill the bucket/jar. When emptying my tank; I stopped the pump before my bucket was full, let the siphon run until enough water was removed from the tank, and then removed the pump from the water, stopping the siphon. Then I drained the remaining water from the hose. The pump moves the water quickly, so stay focused. With this pump, my weekly water change is fun and easy; it used to be difficult. I will recommend this to anyone I know with an aquarium.
