The design concept works well in my Macan but the plastic had burrs and it scratched the leather when I placed the front of the plastic mount over the leather roller. Be careful not to pull down the bracket when installing. Pull out carefully and lower over the front edge. I carefully removed the strut, filed the ridges in front and behind the strut. Then I cut some tape and rolled up the edges. I hope there are no more leather marks. The following actions changed my rating to 1 star. I was still worried about skin damage. Carefully removed, the dashboard clip now dented the leather in addition to the original scratch from the plastic burr. Do not use this if you have front leather upholstery on your dash. Good idea, maybe the plastic dashboard will work.
