great for protecting stairs from shingles
Actually, this is the first time I've seen some roofers using them and I wanted them right away. Holds the ladder on the edge of the clapboard so it doesn't pinch as the ladder rests higher on the roof terrace when kneeling. I have a very low slope property, I have to blow off the pine needles a few times a year so they make shingling much safer and easier. Not bad, just like regular racks, but the wide shank screw is sturdier, although more difficult to put on and take off.
