I use a fairly small laptop so it's nice to have something bigger but portable that I can put in my bag and take with me. Bonus points for being able to use one cable for both power and data. Better still, you can use USB-C for power when connecting an HDMI source like a console, and they're a lot easier to find than a dedicated power adapter. The screen looks good, the 1080p resolution is still good at 15 inches. The screen is viewable from any angle, but you might notice that you don't have to lean more than 20 degrees off-axis before you notice the edges/corners fading a bit. It has an HDR mode but it really seems like it just brightens up the source and nothing looked better to me. The lid doubles as a two-position stand, protecting the screen even in a backpack during a trip getting in and out of the car. There is a good monitor and I have benefited a lot from it.
