Review on ๐Ÿ’ป HUO JI E-Yooso Z-88 RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard: Metal Panel, Red Switches, Compact 81 Keys - Mac/PC Compatible, Silver/White by Joseph Hall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great compact keyboard for budget buyers; Keys can get tired

This is a great keyboard for those looking for good mechanical switches for under $50 I had no problems with the Brown switches - they click enough to feel feedback, but not that much that they are obnoxious. While I wish RGB was programmable, there are enough pre-programmed effects to keep you satisfied (remember there are only 7 solid color options (Red-Orange, Green, Royal Blue, Yellow, Pink, Cyan, and Blue-White) . The white and aluminum finishes are nice, and this is one of the few 60% white keyboards that still fits the arrow keys. You will not regret this purchase! UPDATE 1: After using this keyboard for a few months, I've noticed an issue worth mentioning, but that doesn't change my original rating. Every few months one of the keys fails (usually the keys I use a lot for gaming). It doesn't register every click and either needs to be cleaned or replaced. Luckily several replacement switches were provided which I replaced with no problem. However, I am running low and will eventually need to buy a new replacement or another board. Revain has spares for 20 keys/$11, so don't. a big deal and doesn't change the overall cost of the board too much. Update 2: Still giving 5 stars as everything I said above is true, but you're definitely starting to feel the cheapness of the switches over time. After a year of use, I realized I was never printing with the accuracy I wanted. I also felt like I was pressing the keys much harder than I wanted, which prevented me from achieving a smooth flow when typing for long periods of time. The pressure required to register a key press even started hurting my wrists over time. I believe this is because Outemu's switches are far less smooth than something like the Gateron. I also wanted to use wireless as it was a lot easier to manage the cables. I switched to Anne Pro 2 which prints much better with improved features. If you have $50 to spare I'd recommend something like this or the Ducky One 2 Mini.
