My blue towels were bleeding blue (no stains) even after prewashing. There is a different set of instructions, from the instruction card provided to the label on the tourls themselves. . The card that came with it said to wash in cold water, the label said to wash in warm water. First I washed in cold water and then I went to use them in the shower. After drying myself off with a body towel, I noticed a steady stream of Blue Smurf coming out of the towel. I decided to look at the face cloth. Soaked in warm water in the shower, rang the bell, no blue. I then rubbed the towel down with a bar of soap, gave it a little scrubbing, and then ran it into a chorus of blue water. You will probably want to wash them in lukewarm/hot water before use to remove excess dye from the fabric. Towels. I have them in the dryer now after washing them in warm water with extra detergent. I hope this will solve the problem. The towels are also ok. Normal towel. Softer than my old ones. Ouch! Also, do not use fabric softener/towel dryer. This makes them less absorbent. Dry sheets are primarily fats that coat fabrics, and since fats are hydrophobic, this causes towels to become less and less absorbent over time.
