Review on πŸ—„οΈ Bush Furniture Cabot 2 Drawer Lateral File Cabinet: Stylish Espresso Oak Storage Solution by Paula Pickett

Very poor quality for furniture

addition to my previous review. Literally after a few months of brief use this cabinet is falling apart! In general, it's shaky. The bottom drawer fell apart at the corner joint. The safety locks that prevent both drawers from being opened at the same time do not work. I will update my review again after requesting a refund. It was a waste of my money and I recommend you not to waste your money. Overall this cabinet is good, meets my needs and blends in with my other furniture. It arrived quickly and in good condition. I didn't rate it higher because it arrived with missing screws; several screws broke off during assembly; The "metal" buttons are plastic and there are slight alignment issues. Also, there's no weight on the bottom to prevent tipping - just a ledge at the front. The instructions are very simple illustrations; more details needed. Since I'm very handy with my hands, it took a while to put it together. For this price I expected more. I bought this cabinet to match IKEA furniture which is now discontinued. My similar IKEA filing cabinet was slightly cheaper, had better hardware, was made of thicker, stronger fiberboard, and rested on a weighted base. Under the circumstances, the Bush Cabot File was my best bet, but I would not buy more from this manufacturer. FYI - with some minor tweaks, it's possible to save a long string of files with letters across/sideways, which is what I've done. searched.
