This is not a two piece case with a real hinge. The top cap is glued to the bottom and "indicated" on a thin plastic tab. The top broke off after about 6 months, which is not surprising. So it ends up in the trash, like anything else that's designed for single use these days. Update: Shock Doctor contacted me and sent me not 1 but 3 replacements. The design is the same, bugs and all, but the extras make up for the fact that they're all likely to break sooner or later. Added 1 star for good customer service.
