I bought these bulbs because I like Teckin Wi-Fi Smart Bulbs but wanted to try something different when I'd rather not use my phone or want to use Alexa to control them. I originally bought a 4 pack from another brand in cool white but the white color didn't work for me so I returned them and got these instead. The lamps/remotes/packaging are essentially the same but they have the nice warm white color that I was hoping for. Most of the time, though, I've set them to color because that's what I bought them for. I've been experimenting with lighting my work space with these lamps and some cheap clip-on lamps and so far have been very happy with the results. I know LED strips are more common for this purpose, but I love that I can tilt them to any angle and my setup has enough room behind my monitors to use them. You are not bright enough. I can fully light my room on my own, but there are a few corners of the office that don't get enough light from windows and overhead lights, and these bulbs do a great job of filling those spaces with colored or regular white light. I had a few extra smart sockets so I plugged in bulbs with those bulbs and now I can control the on/off function with Alexa by changing the colors with the remote. That way I can say "Alexa, turn on the light in the office" and it will turn on along with all my wifi lightbulbs. Thanks to the stored memory function, you retain all the settings you have made the next time you turn them on. I'm very happy with them and think they have a place in a smart lighting setup even if you mainly use Wi-Fi/ZigBee bulbs. Sometimes it's nice to be able to just push a button.
