So I finally put a rear view camera in, even though I ordered this system a few months ago. Picture quality is reasonable but not fantastic. Night vision is passable and range isn't great, but it's helpful for seeing what's behind you (especially if you're planning on reversing to a trailer) (not park lines, though). My main reason for buying this system is 1) the larger screen (important for getting a good view of objects) and 2) the camera's supposed IP69 rating. The latter option requires a long lifespan, but in a country with large temperature fluctuations it is important to have a camera that is weatherproof. There are no installation instructions, but there are many helpful videos on YouTube. The screen is functional with well-sized buttons (not a touchscreen, which I like), but it draws power even when the truck is off (buttons are backlit and lit even without a key). Now I like to add another camera (the system can accommodate two) for the front view. I have a 2006 Ford DRW with a canopy. I needed a backup camera because backups can be dangerous. When I finally managed to assemble it, adding the bracket caused a problem: the bracket screws that came with the kit are useless. You are not long enough. So be prepared to fake something. In the end everything works and the quality is satisfied. I will say it. The seller makes it a worthwhile purchase. Good service! UPDATE 1 (September 2019): The system is still running. Again the service from the company is excellent as they replaced the broken part (plastic visor) and gave me a second camera with a 15ft cable for free. This made the cost (about 250 Canadian dollars) of the original purchase more viable. Interesting - I kind of got parking lines on my monitor, but 1) they're gone (don't know what I did) and 2) they're completely useless to me. Ouch. I also installed a kill switch for the system which completely cuts power to the monitor/camera system even when the key is out of the ignition. Otherwise, the battery will drain (albeit slowly) since the monitor is still powered by the battery (the buttons will remain lit when the key is removed from the ignition). It's a bit of a hassle as sometimes I forget to turn it off and come back a few hours later to see that it's still on and the battery is dead. Update: (December 2019) The cameras are still working. Night vision still works. It's hard to just keep them clean. I don't know if it's plastic or glass covering the front. A small point to figure out, but I still don't regret buying this device. Update (February 2020): Night vision is almost useless in wintry conditions. Too much glare, probably from condensation/ice/snow (outside I think). I don't think this is a flaw in the technology as the camera works well during the day on cold days (well below freezing) but has too much glare at night, probably due to nighttime camera light bouncing back into the lens. Snow/ice/salt fog on the camera glass.
