If this was my first experience with an AccuSharp sharpener it would be one star. It's useless. I've had the cheaper version of this sharpener for years. Practical sharpener for everyday use. It's time to replace it, so I decided to try the updated version. He arrived today. As soon as I started taking it out of the box, I saw that the smooth metal plate on the back of the sharpener was separating from the sharpener. The defect is so obvious that it should not have gone through a quality/packaging check. Return/Exchange. It's annoying having to box it up for shipping and have to bang it somewhere to send it back.
