Review on hand2mind High-Range, Dual-Scale, Mercury-Free, Safety Thermometers: Ideal for Indoor Science Activities (Pack of 10) by Scott Rodriguez

I thought I got a good deal on these cheap thermometers. I'm a building manager and wanted to try these inexpensive devices in different areas of the building to monitor the HVAC systems. All I wanted was to get relative temperature readings from different locations, so I figured that being accurate to within a few degrees Fahrenheit shouldn't matter much. However, when they arrived the glass tubes didn't even stay in place so I have to apply Gorilla Glue to each one once I've positioned them correctly and it's all the same. They are not easy to read, even if you take the time to position them correctly on the plastic holder. I then checked the temperature readings side by side, and they differ by as much as four degrees Fahrenheit. I placed the bulbs exactly like the others. I've wasted more time on these units than I'm willing to give. Now I have to place them in places where a four degree difference doesn't matter much. I will have to use a more reliable thermometer as the standard against which these devices are calibrated. Now I'm sure these gadgets are GOOD AS TOYS, so Revain should put them in the right category.
